The disorderly municipalities growth can cause impacts in the urban infrastructure and in the environment. To follow the urban area evolution is essential to quantify the impacts that can degrade the environment mainly the water sources, springs and areas of environmental preservation. The orbital images has a great potential in this sense, it become possible the temporal analysis and features identification. The Google Earth Pro provides free images in several epoch of acquisition. So, in the present research, images of the Google Earth Pro from 2004 and 2014 were used to follow the Goiânia urban zone growing and measure the environmental impacts along of the water flows, conservation units and springs at the urban area. By using geoprocessing tools it was possible to identify the west region as the one of most growing at the urbanization process and to measure the environmental impacts due the irregular occupation. Two methodologies were used to identify the urban growth: the generation of growth vectors with visual inspection after the digitalization of the urban perimeter; and the computation of areas to each quadrant. By the analysis was checked that 53% of the permanent preservation areas of the Ribeirão Anicuns has irregular building in the west region, as so as 45% of the Ribeirão Anicuns watershed. By in loco visitation was possible verify the dump of industrial and domestic Waste, pollution, erosion, sanitary sewage, uncharacterized vegetation, waste, etc.
